Breast lifting with or without volume reduction.
Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, breast feeding, and gravity cause the breasts to change, losing their elasticity and shape. The lifting of the breasts is a surgical procedure where new shape is given and flaccidity is reduced. In cases where there is excess breast, the tissue and volume is reduced.
During the breast surgery, the areola size may also be decreased and the size and firmness of the breasts greatly improved.
Patients may have large and fallen breasts. The incisions are made, excess skin and volume is removed and the areola repositioned.
We do not use the classical inverted T procedure. The excess skin is brought under the front and the incision closed to provide a new, more firm contour.

The patient may have large breasts and ptotic. The incisions are done around the skin to be removed and the new nipple position. We don´t use anymore the classical inverted "T" scar. |

The skin above the nipple is pulled down and sutured to rebuilt the breast shape. The sutures close the incisions providing the breast a new and more firm contour. |

In the end of the surgery, the breasts show the new size and shape, presenting only a VERTICAL SCAR below the areolas. |
Breast augmentation is the surgical procedure by which breasts are enlarged for various reasons:
With a silicone implant behind the mammary glands, the surgeon increases the breast by one or two sizes.
Usually the breast augmentation is made for greater harmony of the figure, or for reconstructive purposes. The incisions are made in such a way that the scars become invisible when possible at the base of the breast, around the areola or under arm.

The possible incisions to insert the implants are: in the axilla, around the areola and in the inframammary sulcus. A pocket is made from the breast tissue to support the implant. |

The silicone implant may be inserted under the gland or under the muscle. |

After surgery, the breast will appear full, natural and of the desired shape and size. With time, the scars will lighten and become faint. |
Liposuction (sculpting) is the technique by which undesired fatty deposits are removed from certain areas of the body.
In the last years we have used the Tumescent Liposuction procedure which removes localized deposits, from areas such as the under arms, flanks and waist, folds on the back, abdominal areas on women as well as breasts and “spare tires” on men. A tumescence may be done in conjunction with any form of liposuction, be that traditional, ultrasonic, or vibro-lipo (PAL- Power Assisted Liposuction).
This method consists of the injection of a specially formulated liquid which helps soften and dissolve the treated area. This is the best invasive surgery and least traumatic to the body.
The advantages of this method include minimal loss of blood, greater removal of fat, speedier recovery and least bruising compared to traditional liposuction. A faster recovery and return to usual activities makes it most practical.

Women most frequently have this form of liposuction on the hips and abdomen whereas the men commonly have their under chin and waist done. The best candidates are those of normal weight who have localized areas such as the buttocks, thighs or hips to improve upon. |

We use the device PAL (Power Assisted Liposuction), or Vibroliposuction, a method that reduces the trauma, the blood loss permitting return to regular activities in few days. |

A body with a more harmonious contour helps you feel more confident and confortable. |
Our society values the firm and youthful appearance of men and women. Today, there are an increasing number of men who seek cosmetic surgery as they are just as concerned with their appearance as women. Though men and women seek plastic surgery for similar reasons, surgeries for each are not necessarily the same. This is particularly true when it relates to the different contours of the human body. Men tend to have fatty deposits usually around the waist (“spare tires”), the abdomen, and the breasts. Men often demand total anonymity leaving no visible signs of having had any procedures.

Liposuction became the most popular aesthetic procedure for men, specially around the chest, abdomen, waist, chin and neck. |

Many men have ginecomastia- breast volume enlargement, caused by fat tissue and mammary gland tissue. |

The fat tissue may be removed with liposuction. The mammary gland may be surgically removed. usually through a small incision in the areola. After the surgery, the chest area is more appealing in the masculine sense. |
Plastic surgery of the abdomen is the medical procedure most vividly used for the removal of the fatty tissue, excessive skin and the readjustment of the muscular wall of the abdomen. This procedure greatly improves the stomach area, however leaving a permanent horizontal scar, at the base of the abdomen.

The incision above the pubic area is done in order to remove the excessive fat and skin of the abdomen area. The skin is separated from the abdominal wall above the thighs. |

The surgeon will restructure and suture the muscular tissue aligning the waist and strengthening the abdominal wall. The excessive skin is removed and a new belly button is made and sutured. |

After surgery, the patient will have a flat and solid abdomen. Though the scars are permanent, they are made in such a way that bikini bathing suits may be worn. |
It is common for patients to request two or more plastic surgery procedures to be made at the same time. This is possible as long as the procedures are within the sound advice of the surgeon and that the health of the patient is not compromised.
The most common combination surgeries are of the abdomen and breast, the thighs and abdomen and the breasts and arms. Common combination facial surgeries performed are those of the eye lids and wrinkles, the eye lids and nose and facial wrinkles and nose.
Obese or morbidly obese patients should only be operated upon once they have reached their desired weight loss goal. Usually after such weight loss, excessive amounts of skin and flaccidity of skin occurs. That is when the plastic surgeon may proceed to remove such unwanted features in various combination surgeries, usually in two or three stages until the final desired results are reached. Normally the first combination surgery is the abdomen, the removal of excessive skin from the back and thighs. Later the breast and arms are done and finally the face. In some cases, other areas may need surgery if necessary or desired. The results are extremely gratifying though permanent scars will remain. Sometimes ten to fifteen pounds of excessive skin may be removed.
Commonly many women have certain genital deformities that cause problems: be that of the enlargement of the genital area which causes embarrassment and some constraints. Though this is quite common, the surgery is simple, inexpensive and very gratifying. Under local anesthetic the patient is well enough to leave within a few hours and return to daily routine, being cautious, of course, of operated areas.
